Creative Commons & Soundcloud

As we create our film opening, we aren't allowed to include mainstream music as background music as this would be breaking the law. Therefore, we used the websites 'Creative Commons' and 'Soundcloud', which allows you to download and use sounds that aren't copyright.



If this was a major film company, for example 'Marvel', they would contact the record company directly to purchase the song they needed for their movie. As they would create a blockbuster movie and are highly well known, they would have the money and connections to get this done efficiently. However, as students we would have to be aware of our budget and he limitations which is why it is convenient to have access to websites such as 'Soundcloud' and 'Creative Commons'.
